Medicare Advantage Plans (also known as Medicare Part C), is an alternative to Original Medicare, Part A and Part B.
Understand how you can benefit from a Medicare Advantage Plan.
With Medicare Advantage Plans, beneficiaries can choose to get their coverage through private insurance companies that contract with Medicare, instead of having their Medicare benefits managed through the government-run program.
We can help you better understand Medicare Advantage Plans so that you can get the most out of your benefits.
What does it cover?
Medicare Advantage Plans cover all of the services that Original Medicare covers. If you are enrolled in a Medicare Advantage Plan, you will always be covered for urgent care and emergencies. Some Medicare Advantage Plans also offer extra coverage, such as hearing, vision, and dental coverage.
Things to Remember
Even if you are enrolled in a Medicare Advantage Plan, your Original Medicare will still cover the costs for specific new Medicare benefits and hospice care. Most Medicare Advantage Plans offer Prescription Plans. Also, please note that Medicare Supplement Plans can’t work with Medicare Advantage Plans.
